Florida Wedding Info:

Please review the information below to learn more about the requirements and steps to getting married in the State of Florida.
At the time of uploading this site, the following links contained valid and up to date information. You will still want to follow up with your local marriage license division or with your clerk of court to confirm requirements needed to get your marriage license.

  • You do not have to be a resident of Florida.

  • Marriage license applicants must be at least 18 years old and the couple must appear in person to obtain a license. A picture I.D. with the date of birth must be provided (ie: driver's license, passport).

  • Marriage Licenses are issued immediately and are valid for 60 days from date it is issued.

  • There's a three day waiting period for Florida residents who have not taken the State sanctioned marriage preparation course within the last 12 months. If you have taken the course, then there is no waiting period.
